I had a fine breakfast in the hotel and left Greensburg about 8:30 a.m., put gas in the car, and headed east on Route 30.

There is a charming downtown area in Ligonier and they were getting ready for a July 4th celebration this weekend.

There is a temporary memorial at the crash site of Flight 93. It is approximately 6 or 7 miles south of Route 30 near the small village of Buckstown.
This is the make-shift memorial site. While the memorial is small, it has a powerful impact on the visitor.
The Park Service erected this small building on the site.
This wall contains personal items donated by family members and friends of the victims.
This memorial plaque was donated by "Motorcyclists from all over the free world."
There is a small memorial for each passenger and crew member on the flight with their name and position written on the triangular plaque.

It is difficult to detect on this photo, but in the field, directly behind the greenery in the foreground, is an American flag (barely visible). That is the site of the plane crash.
This wonderful old Gulf station in Bedford is still a working service station.
The Coffee Pot, a novelty structure built to attract early travelers on the Lincoln Highway, was recently restored and now sells souvenirs.
